Melike joined EKA in August 2022 and is part of the team as a Community Experience Coordinator. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in Urban Space Organization and Design at Yıldız Technical University. During her university years, she discovered her interest in participatory planning and co-design. For her graduation thesis, she worked on ‘The Game Method in Participatory Planning.’ She intends to continue working on the topic of games in participatory planning during her master’s studies. Melike has participated in numerous national-scale urban planning projects and has been actively involved in various non-governmental organizations. She has worked on process design stages in various projects where participation was achieved. She also took part in several EU projects on street transformation and tactical urbanism. Currently, she is working as an urban planner at the Istanbul Planning Agency.
