Ülker Zeynep Çolak

EKA Creative Studio / Ülker Zeynep Çolak

Ülker Zeynep Çolak moved to Istanbul from her small comfort zone in 2016 to study Architecture at Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ). After realizing her interest in social and collective activities, from fairs to debates, since childhood, she explored various fields during her university education, both directly related and unrelated to her discipline. While continuing her hobbies in theater and dance teams, she became interested in stage design. She took on roles as a project and publication assistant in architectural exhibitions and events, and began to write her research, especially wanting to develop her knowledge in the fields of feminism and urban rights.
Following the publication of her article ‘How Women Walk in the City’ on a digital platform, she continues to work excitedly on new writings. At the same time, she works as a Creative Designer in an architectural office and has been working for over three years in the Marketing & Communications team of Fil’m Hafızası, an independent cinema platform, maintaining her connection to cinema
